It is considered a variety with little personality

From a field of Spanish and Portuguese white and pink varieties in the Southeast corner of the farm

with fresh berry aromas

With 4 hectares dry farmed on the southern slopes

2023 Weingut Wasenhaus Filzen Chardonnay 1.5L Magnum Baden, Germany Stagiaire At the winery the grapesA Chardonnay from steep slopes, western orientated, worked mainly manual and grown on limestone clay soil in Kirchhofen. Bunches got pressed as whole clusters, fermented in 1 600L damy barrel. Aged for one year on the full lees in barrel and another half year in stainless steel on its entire lees. This is a younger german clone with a bit more aromatics thus is a fresher style compared to Hohlen.
