Description
In mid-to-late summer
Quite a people who write about it seem unable to distinguish between a garden thug and an invasive plant
evergreen perennial with brilliant yellow
We have had very good luck growing these in very moist garden soils as well as shallow standing water
Sweet flag loves a moist spot such as a bog
Lobelia angulata Lobelia In mid-to-late summer(aka: Pratia angulata) We have really enjoyed this wonderful semi evergreen groundcover lobelia from New Zealand in our garden for decades. The zig zag black stems are clothed with tiny round leaves forming a nice 1" tall, ground hugging mat. The patch is topped with small white flowers from late spring through early summer great for the rock garden and very tolerant of moist conditions in full to part sun, where it's tolerant of light foot traffic
